Call for Yonge and Eglinton Neighbourhood Participation

Call for Participation: Mural at 2454 Yonge Street, Yonge St. and Roselawn Ave.

BMO Financial Group is working with STEPS Public Art and artist Gosia Komorski to create a new, vibrant mural inspired by the community at 2454 Yonge Street!

About the artist: Gosia Komorski is a Polish-Canadian artist with a passion for visual storytelling. Through mixing patterns and using bold complementary colours, she creates the identity of a person or place, visually unveiling their biography or history. Gosia also has deep ties to the Yonge-Eglinton neighbourhood and worked at 2454 Yonge Street when it was a Sporting Life!

About the mural: The mural will be located along Roselawn Avenue at the Yonge Street intersection and will bring new life to the wall that currently has the 2013 mural which celebrated the 6th annual Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer to support the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.

The new mural will embody the values of integrity, empathy, diversity, and responsibility.

To assist Gosia in designing a mural specific to the site and surrounding Yonge-Eglinton community, we are looking to hear from you on what makes the area special. Your feedback will help create an original artwork that resonates and reflects this unique community.
