ARTIST INFORMATION
Jeff Kulak is a graphic designer, illustrator and artist grateful to be living and working on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations (Vancouver, BC). Originally from Edmonton, he arrived on the west coast by way of Montreal six years ago. He facilitates projects with artists, architects, cities, non-profits, programmers, publishers and others endeavouring to give ideas visual form. His work in illustration and publishing has been awarded and exhibited internationally.
Recent personal works have explored territories of mental health, self-employment and queer experience through sculpture, sound, printmaking, artist multiples and an expanded drawing practice. Previous public commissions include works for the City of Calgary, the City of Edmonton and the City of White Rock. He has led art workshops, public engagement sessions and maintained online process blogs as part of these processes.
