Ron Wild is an innovative Western-Canadian artist currently based in Toronto. His iconic 'smART Maps' feature vibrant montage mash-ups, remixing up to 100 layers of finely detailed digital imagery. He's regularly collaborating with other media artists, as well as scientists and medical researchers. A prolific sculpture model maker, he generously shares his laser cutting expertise, mentoring artists and DIY-makers of all skill levels. Ron's structural engineering background uniquely complements his wild creativity expressed through lenticular and tensegrity (Buckminster Fuller) public art projects. His burgeoning CNC milling practice is featuring decommissioned composite aluminum panels for large-scale sculptural installations. He enjoys engaging the public in global environmental awareness initiatives using recycled and recyclable materials.
