ARTIST INFORMATION
Wendy Struck is a painter, assemblage artist, muralist and educator. Wendy has worked in a variety of art related positions including set painter, prototype designer, artist in residence, gallery owner, mural artist, project coordinator, and teaching artist.
Wendy has served on numerous committees, grant juries, and boards of directors including CARFAC Saskatchewan and the Visual Arts Alberta Association. Wendy was a founding member of The Hive Artists’ Hub Society where she was president of the board for multiple terms. Wendy has previously worked as an Outreach Artist through the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Center’s Artist in the Classroom program and is currently the Education Coordinator at Medalta in the Historic Clay District. She has sold and exhibited work across western Canada including at Saskatoon’s Mendel Art Gallery, Regina’s Neutral Ground, The Art Gallery of Regina, the travelling Mary Cooper Gallery, Gallery Vertigo, Mysteria Gallery, Medalta’s Yuill Gallery, and the Art Gallery of St. Albert. Struck’s studio practice explores themes of place; natural environments, interiors, neighbourhoods, and home. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Regina and is currently working toward a Professional Masters of Education from Queens University.
