Zoë

Born in Vancouver, BC and currently established in Montreal, Quebec, abstract artist Zoë Gelfant feels most at home when surrounded by colour. She is most interested in art as play, and how colours can evoke emotions and memories. An avid user of geometric shapes, her particular use of cutting and layering creates dreamlike, cosmic works of art that art similar to stained glass, whether illustrations, paintings, or murals.

Zoë earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts with honours from Concordia in Montreal in 2016, and spent recent years in the studio, exploring and finessing her style. She has assisted MU in painting street murals, and her work has been featured in L’Art fait son nid, at Quartier DIX30 in Brossard, and participated in the 2021 edition of MTL en Arts and MURAL Festival in Montreal.
