About This Project
Geared for Growth aims to unite BMO with its community, people, and harmonious history. It embodies the spirit of the local Oshawa community, hoping to forge connections through the power of public art.
The design incorporates symbols of canoes and lakes, tying it to the past and the name “Oshawa” in the Native dialect. It shifts the narrative to the present day, juxtaposing symbols of the automobile industry with landscapes and landmarks in the city.
